With this new home test kit, you can test your dog for Giardia yourself. The test works like a Corona rapid test, which means that a negative test is an indicator, but not a guarantee, that your dog does not have the parasite, as false negative results can occur. If the test is positive, it strongly suggests that your dog is infected, and you should contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. The test has a reliability of 98.8%.

If your dog is lethargic, has dull eyes, or shows signs of dehydration, you should seek immediate veterinary attention rather than using a home test. It is also important to contact a veterinarian if your dog has an upset stomach for a prolonged period of time.

Since Giardia is contagious, you should avoid letting your dog greet other dogs or drink water from places where other dogs also drink.

How to use the Giardia Antigen home test:

• The test must be performed on fresh stool.

• Use the swab to collect stool and insert it into the provided analysis tube. Stir the swab well.

• Open the test and use the provided pipette to suck up the liquid from the tube.

• Place 3 drops of liquid in the test hole marked "s".

• Wait 5 minutes before reading the result. After 10 minutes, the result is no longer valid.
